STEPS
1) Download Pentaho Community Edition 5.1
1.1) Visit http://community.pentaho.com
1.2) Find the Section
Download/Main Downloads/Business Analytics Platform
You will be redirected to http://sourceforge.net/projects/pentaho/files/Business%20Intelligence%20Server/5.1/biserver-ce-5.1.0.0-752.zip/download
1.3) Unzip the file to C:\ e.g
If you are using 7Zip, extract as shown below:
2) Set Java_Home
2.1) Install Java JDK
2.2) Add JAVA_HOME variable
2.3) Add JAVA_HOME variable to PATH variable.
3) Start Pentaho.
3.1) Run Command Console
3.2) Change Directory (CD) to c:\biserver-ce
3.3) Type start-pentaho.bat
3.4) Cancel version check.
3.5) Run the bat file again.
3.4) Tomcat Console will pop up and start the server.
3.5) Browse http://localhost:8080/pentaho/
